Weslaco police respond to multi-vehicle crash on Oklahoma Ave.

WESLACO, TX – Officers with the Weslaco Police Department responded to a two-vehicle collision near Gibson Park Sunday evening.

The accident occurred when the 55-year-old woman behind the wheel of a 2008 GMC ran through a stop sign and collided with the rear driver’s side of a 2016 Audi at the intersection of S. Oklahoma Avenue and West 6th Street.

Fortunately, neither the woman responsible nor the 37-year-old man in the GMC was injured as a direct result of the collision. However, both vehicles sustained significant damage in the crash.
