Woman injured following head-on collision near downtown McAllen

MCALLEN, TX – Officers with the McAllen Police Department reported at least one injury resulting from a multi-vehicle crash last Monday morning.

The accident occurred just after 7:30 a.m. within the 6400 block of North 2nd Street near the intersection with Yellowhammer Ave.

Investigators believe the 57-year-old woman behind the wheel of a 2007 Pontiac failed to stop at a stop sign and collided head-on with a 2013 Ford.

The driver of the Ford, a 31-year-old woman sustained minor injuries as a result of Monday’s McAllen car accident.
