Update: Officials ID victims of fatal crash on Crosstown Expy

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Officials have ID’d the two people who died in a wrong-way crash on Crosstown Expy near Morgan Ave Friday, according to Yahoo News.

Crystal Pineda, 28, was driving a  Mercury Mountaineer south in the northbound lanes of Crosstown Expy when she collided with an SUV driven by Ariana Dewey.

The impact caused Pineda to be ejected from her vehicle. First responders pronounced her dead at the scene of the accident. Dewey died from her injuries later on.

It is unclear if impairment played a role in the collision.
