Bicyclist hospitalized after Northside hit-and-run

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A San Antonio man was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a car while riding his bicycle on the northside Friday night.

The incident was reported at about 10 p.m. when a man in his 60s or 70s was riding near the intersection of West Hildebrand Avenue and Blanco Road, according to KENS.

Police believe the driver in a sedan struck the bicyclist before immediately speeding away from the scene. He was transported to a local hospital with injuries not expected to be life-threatening.

No further information with regard to the suspect’s identity or vehicle has been released at this time.
