Car crash causes gas leak

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX  – Police officers stopped traffic near Kostoryz Road on Wednesday, after a car accident caused a gas leak.

KIII South Texas reports that two vehicles collided on Kostoryz Road near Brawner Parkway. The accident occurred around 9:00 a.m. on April 6 Although the vehicles sustained significant damage, there were no injuries reported from the accident.

One of the cars ran over a gas meter during the crash, and the damaged meter began leaking gas. Police officers closed the surrounding area to all traffic, while they worked to stop the leak.
