SAN ANTONIO, TX – A large-scale construction project to add lanes on 281 southbound is the cause of daily traffic, according to the San Antonio Traffic Alert system.
The project is adding four non-tolled lanes and an HOV lane to the 281 South near Loop 1604.
The project, if it goes as planned, should be completed by the middle of 2020.
Drivers should expect delays traveling through the area.
