Man arrested on suspicion of DWI after overnight police chase

SAN ANTONIO, TX – According to KSAT, a man was arrested early Thursday after leading police on an overnight chase throughout San Antonio.

Police said the altercation began around 3 a.m., when officers attempted to pull over a vehicle when the driver sped off. Units then followed the driver throughout the city.

According to police, an Eagle helicopter spotted the vehicle heading south on I-35 and followed him west before he came to a stop near Fredericksburg Road.

Police said the man then attempted to flee on foot, but officers were able to arrest him.

Authorities say the man was detained on suspicion of DWI and faces multiple charges.
