McAllen Woman Injured in Distracted Driving Accident

MCALLEN, TX — A woman received non-fatal injuries after another driver caused a crash in McAllen.

The accident occurred on Monday around 5 in the afternoon at the intersection of North Ware Road and Buddy Owens Boulevard. According to police the driver of a white 2015 KIA was distracted and speeding. This behavior resulted in an accident that caused damage to both vehicles. Additionally, the driver of the other vehicle, a white 2017 Mercedes-Benz received non life-threatening injuries from the crash. The weather was reportedly clear at the time of the accident.

No further information has been made available on the condition of the woman. Police found the driver of the KIA to be at fault.
