Pedestrian killed by truck accident in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX — A pedestrian was killed in a truck accident on Saturday night. According to KSAT, the vehicle struck the man at the intersection of Roosevelt Avenue and Genevieve Drive sometime before 10 PM.

Police say the man was pushing a shopping cart in the road before the accident. The driver of the truck failed to notice the man before striking him down. The driver then stopped to help the injured man.

Medical services hurried the severely injured pedestrian to the San Antonio Military Medical Center. Unfortunately, he died before they arrived. Police believe the crash to be an accident and blame rainy weather for the collision. The driver is not being brought up on charges.
