Pedestrian killed in San Antonio car accident on Tuesday

SAN ANTONIO, TX — An SUV mortally wounded a pedestrian in San Antonio on Tuesday.

According to KSAT, the accident occurred in the 4400 block of Callaghan Road in San Antonio. The pedestrian, a man in his 50’s, crossed Callaghan Road without using a crosswalk. While crossing the street the driver of an SUV struck him down. The driver got out of his vehicle and tried to help the injured pedestrian. Despite his effort the man died at the scene.

Police report that alcohol was not a factor in causing the collision. The deceased pedestrian has not yet been identified by police.
