SAFD extricates woman from van after collision with utility pole

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Firefighters extricated a woman from her minivan after she collided with a utility pole in southeast San Antonio early this morning, FOX 29 reports.

The woman was driving in the area of E Southcross Road and S WW White Road at about 3:30 a.m. Thursday when she veered off the roadway and into the pole. Police arrived to find the woman trapped inside her vehicle, and called fire rescue to extricate her. She was then taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

It is unclear whether intoxication was a factor.
