MCALLEN, TX — A speeding 18-wheeler caused a crash involving at least 5 vehicles on Tuesday.
The accident occurred around 4pm near the intersection of West Jackson Avenue and South 2nd Street in McAllen. According to police an 18-wheeler along with a blue 2010 Dodge failed to control their speed on South 2nd Street. The two drivers caused a collision that caused damage to several other vehicles. Police say that weather conditions were cloudy at the time of the accident.
A passenger in the blue Dodge reported injuries as a result of the crash, however they are reportedly non life-threatening. Both the driver of the 18-wheeler as well as the driver of the blue Dodge were found to be at fault for the accident.
