Stolen truck joyride ends in a head-on collision, injuring three

SAN ANTONIO, TX — A driver in a stolen vehicle caused a head-on collision in San Antonio on Saturday.

According to KSAT, the accident occurred around 5:00 on Loop 1604. The driver allegedly stole a FedEx truck earlier in the day and later abandoned it and stole a pickup truck. The driver was spotted driving the wrong way on Loop 1604, and SAPD officers pursued him. The chase ended when the truck struck another vehicle head-on. First responders had to rescue the driver from the flaming wreckage. The two occupants of the other vehicle were injured in the crash, and authorities say that one remains in critical condition.
