Suspect crashes into bridge following carjacking

SAN ANTONIO, TX – According to Fox San Antonio, a suspect has crashed a stolen vehicle into a bridge in downtown San Antonio.

The incident began when a guest at the Drury Plaza Hotel was sitting in her SUV. The suspect then entered the vehicle and asked for a ride. When the car’s owner declined, the suspect drew a gun and a struggle for the weapon ensued.

The victim then exited the vehicle while the suspect drove away, crashing on Market Street. The crash occurred around 10 a.m. this morning. A police officer then arrested the suspect.

Charges are currently pending against the suspect.
