Suspected drug smuggler crashes into federal agent’s vehicle

STARR COUNTY, TX – According to KRGV, a man has been charged with drug smuggling following an incident with law enforcement.

42-year-old Leonel Sepulveda Jr. went before a judge on June 30th after he was caught with over 200 pounds of marijuana and struck law enforcement and civilian vehicles.

A U.S. Border Patrol vehicle headed towards Sepulveda, who was on La Pietra Drive, Sepulveda then turned his vehicle, striking the patrol car. He then fled onto Old U.S. Highway 83.

A police chase then occurred, ending with Sepulveda rear-ending a civilian vehicle. Sepulveda was then arrested.
