Suspected drunk driver crashes into multiple vehicles in downtown San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A suspected drunk driver caused several major collisions in downtown San Antonio on Monday afternoon.

According to KSAT, police responded to reports of a wrong-way driver at about 1 p.m. in the area of Alamo Plaza and Lasoya Street.

Moments after the initial reports came in, the Mustang collided with a police cruiser that was heading to another call. The officer was able to pin the suspect vehicle between another car and a trailer in order to prevent it from continuing onto the sidewalk.

The suspect, whose identity is being withheld at this time, was taken to the hospital after the crash.
