SUV flips during apparent car chase in East SA

SAN ANTONIO, TX – An SUV hit a curb and flipped over on its roof during an apparent car chase in East San Antonio this morning, KSAT reports.

According to police, the accident occurred at approximately 8:50 a.m. near the intersection of Covington Road and Rigsby Avenue.

Eyewitnesses say the SUV was involved in a chase with another vehicle when it hit a curb and rolled over. They also believe that someone in the SUV or the other vehicle waved a gun, but police cannot confirm this.

Two men got out of the overturned SUV and fled the scene on foot. SAPD launched an extensive manhunt and eventually discovered the men on a hiking trail near I-10 and MLK Drive.

The other vehicle was gone by the time police arrived.
