Teen dies after getting stuck under semi-truck’s tires on I-35 Frontage Rd

SCHERTZ, TX – A 16-year-boy died in an accident involving a semi-truck on I-35 Frontage Rd near FM 1103 Tuesday, according to KTSA.

According to police, the teen was hitching a ride on the back of the truck, unbeknownst to the truck driver. As the driver approached the intersection with FM 1103, the boy jumped off and became stuck under the truck’s tires.

First responders pronounced the boy dead at the scene despite their attempts at performing life-saving measures on the teen when they arrived around 10 p.m.

The incident is under investigation by Schertz police.
