Teenage girls steal car, crash it into utility pole

SAN ANTONIO, TX- Two teenage girls were arrested after they stole a vehicle and crashed it into a utility pole on Wednesday.

Police received a call about a stolen vehicle on De Zevala at approximately 11 PM that evening. The owner of the car made the call while pursuing the thieves. Eventually, the driver of the stolen car lost control of the vehicle and struck a utility pole at De Zavala Road and Lockhill Selma Road.

One of the suspects became trapped in the vehicle. Both girls were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The girls are currently in police custody.
