Truck catches fire in south Corpus Christi parking lot

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a vehicle fire that could have been disastrous on Corpus Christi’s south side last week.

According to KRIS, the truck caught on fire at about 11 p.m. near the intersection of South Staples Street and Timbergate Drive near the Gold’s Gym.

Upon arrival, firefighters discovered tanks of diesel fuel and gasoline in the truck’s bed. Luckily, they were able to put out the blaze before it spread to the tanks.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
