Two cars crash near Alamo Avenue

BROWNSVILLE, TX – A driver in a Chevrolet failed to yield right of way when exiting a private driveway, causing a collision with a second Chevrolet Thursday afternoon.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on May 7, a 44-year-old man in a maroon 2008 Chevrolet exited a private driveway on Alamo Avenue near North Central Avenue. The driver did not yield to an oncoming black 2014 Chevrolet and collided with the vehicle.

The Brownsville Police Department reports that the front bumper of the 2008 Chevrolet hit the right-front portion of the 2014 Chevrolet. The collision caused minimal damage to both vehicles, and they were able to drive away without tow truck assistance.

Police officers on the scene reported no injuries to either driver or the two passengers in the 2008 Chevrolet.
