Underage driver causes collision on South Padre Island Drive near Ennis Joslin Road

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX — A two-vehicle collision involving an underage driver was reported on Wednesday afternoon. According to police, the accident took place on South Padre Island Drive near Ennis Joslin Road around 2:00 PM.

The unlicensed driver was behind the wheel of a beige Toyota.  According to police, she was speeding when she collided with another vehicle, a white Ford. No details have been released on how the child was able to get behind the wheel of the car, or if anyone was hurt in the crash.
