Uninsured driver backs into freight-liner

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A person driving a 2002 Dodge without insurance crashed into a freight-liner while backing up on Tuesday, May 12.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:40 a.m. on Blanco Road near Mission Ridge. The freight-liner was behind the Dodge as the driver began to reverse the vehicle. The Dodge’s back bumper hit the back-right side of the commercial truck.

Both vehicles sustained minimal damage from the accident, and they did not require a tow truck after the crash.

An officer from the San Antonio Police Department was on the scene of the accident. This officer reported that there were no injuries in the crash.

The Dodge will be held responsible for the damage because the driver backed-up at an unsafe time. The driver also received a citation for driving without proof of insurance.
