Uninsured driver causes crash on Schertz Parkway

SCHERTZ, TX – An uninsured driver in a Mercury crashed into a Chevrolet on Tuesday afternoon as the Mercury driver was turning at an intersection.

The Schertz Police Department reports that the green 2003 Mercury and a black 2012 Chevrolet collided at approximately 2:20 p.m. on May 12. The 33-year-old man driving the Mercury made an unsafe turn at the intersection of Schertz Parkway and Elbel Road.

The Mercury’s front end collided with the front-left corner of the Chevrolet. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage during the crash. However, they did not require a tow truck after the accident.

Neither the 33-year-old Mercury driver nor the 33-year-old woman driving the Chevrolet was injured in the accident. A 37-year-old passenger in the Mercury was also unharmed.

The police determined that the Mercury’s driver was at fault in the accident. He also received a citation for driving without insurance.
