SAN ANTONIO, TX – The name of the man who was struck by a hit-and-run driver that was fleeing a disturbance on the 7700 block of Marbach Rd on Oct 28 has been released, KENS 5 reports.
According to police, surveillance footage shows Sergio Cortez, 33, running to help a person injured in a large fight that ended in a shooting. Cortez was then struck by a black car that then fled the scene.
First responders transported Cortez to an area hospital with a broken spinal cord. Cortez is currently recovering in the hospital.
