SAN ANTONIO, TX – The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s office has released the identity of the man killed after a previously reported collision involving a VIA bus late Sunday night.
According to KSAT, 30-year-old Gary Mando Benavides was killed after he ran a stop sign and was T-bone by a bus at the intersection of Commercial Avenue and Grosvenor Street.
Benavides was ejected from his vehicle before being pinned underneath. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Two people on the bus were assessed for minor injuries by paramedics at the scene.
