Victim identified in fatal collision near McAllister Park

SAN ANTONIO, TX – The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has released the identity of a man killed in a collision early last Friday morning.

According to the San Antonio Express-News, 22-year-old Levi Casselle Jefferies Jr. crashed his 2013 Camaro into a construction site along Wetmore Road near McAllister Park at about 2:40 a.m.

Police believe Jefferies was traveling at a high rate of speed when the lanes of traffic narrowed causing his vehicle to jump the curb and crash through a backyard along Maverick Creek. The Camaro came to rest against a tree in the back yard.

Emergency crews attempted to resuscitate Jefferies at the scene. Unfortunately, they were unsuccessful and he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
