Victim identified in fatal Southcross collision

SAN ANTONIO, TX – The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the woman killed in a collision that also took the life of a 3-year-old boy last Friday.

According to KSAT, 37-year-old Aracelly Avalos Ramirez was fatally injured following a two-vehicle crash within the 3700 block of East Southcross.

Witnesses told SAPD, Ramirez was traveling in the oncoming lanes and dodging other vehicles before she crashed head-on into an SUV driven by a 48-year-old woman.

A 3-year-old boy in the rear passenger’s seat of the SUV also died in the crash. The driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries following the crash.
