Woman arrested following fatal collision with cyclist in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Police have taken a woman into custody after she struck and killed a cyclist near Central Catholic High School last night, KSAT reports.

Authorities say that 24-year-old Samantha Leigh Castillo was intoxicated when she hopped a curb and struck a bicyclist who was riding with a group. The collision took place in the 1400 block of N St. Mary’s Street at about 10:30 p.m. on April 7.

Castillo has been charged with intoxication manslaughter.

Her victim’s identity has not been released at this time.
