Woman held on suspicion of DWI after accident on Highway 90

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Police say a woman suspected of drunk driving caused an accident on the West Side of San Antonio early Monday morning.

KSAT reports the incident involved three vehicles and happened on Highway 90 near Suzette Avenue at about 1:15 a.m. Investigators determined that a woman in her 20s crashed her car into a vehicle that then slammed into a third vehicle, causing both to overturn.

The driver of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries in the accident and was taken to University Hospital.

The woman who caused the initial crash was detained on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, police said.
