Woman hit and killed while jogging near Shavano Park in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A woman was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver while jogging in the Shavano Park neighborhood early Sunday morning.

According to KSAT, 53-year-old Lisa Rosenstein was jogging on the westbound shoulder of the Loop 1604 access road between Lockhill Selma Road and NW Military Highway when she was struck by an eastbound sedan.

The driver involved in the wreck immediately fled the scene without rendering any assistance to Rosenstein. She was pronounced dead upon emergency crews’ arrival at the scene.

Once located, the driver is expected to face charges of failure to stop and render aid resulting in death.
