Woman Hospitalized After Truck Crashes Through her North San Antonio Kitchen

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A San Antonio woman was taken to the hospital after a truck crashed through her North Side apartment early Thursday morning.

According to KTSA, the accident took place at about 12:30 a.m. at an apartment complex near Callaghan Road.

Police say the driver was pulling out of a nearby gas station when he hit the accelerator instead of the brake and plowed over a retaining wall and landed in the apartment.

The woman was rescued by firefighters after being pinned against the wall. She was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

The driver sustained only minor injuries in the crash. However, when he was pulled from the vehicle, a number of beer cans came falling out.

It is unclear what charges he will face at this time. We will update this blog with further information should it be made available to the public.
