Woman injured following T-bone collision in Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE, TX – A woman was reportedly injured as the result of a collision near the Mexican consulate last Saturday afternoon.

Officers with the Brownsville Police Department say the accident was reported at about 12:44 p.m. along Mexico Boulevard near the intersection with 6th Street.

The collision occurred when the 20-year-old man behind the wheel of a 2014 Toyota failed to yield the right of way to a 2013 Dodge while turning left at the intersection. The Toyota collided with the front driver’s side of the Dodge, causing significant damage.

The sole occupant in the Dodge, a 28-year-old woman, was hurt in Saturday’s Brownsville car accident. No information with regard to the extent of her injuries is mentioned in the report.
