Woman Loses Control of Vehicle, Crashes into Fire Hydrant in East San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Police in San Antonio’s far east side responded to a single-vehicle crash late Saturday night, WOAI reports.

The accident occurred at about 1 a.m. along East Houston Street, near the intersection with Whispering Creek Drive.

The unidentified female driver told police she lost control of her vehicle for unknown reasons before it jumped the curb and slammed into a fire hydrant. Neither the driver nor her passenger suffered significant injuries in the crash.

Police do not believe the woman was under the influence at the time of the crash. No citations have been issued at this time.
