Teenagers Injured After Stealing and Crashing a Car

PORTLAND, TX – A 13-year-old girl stole her mother’s car to pick up a 14-year-old boy in Sinton, on Saturday, April 18. According to KRIS 6 News, police officers in Sinton chased the two teenagers a short distance, once they received the report of the stolen car.

The vehicle chase ended when the 13-year-old crashed the vehicle into a railroad track in Sinton. The crash partially derailed the track, and train traffic on that track had to be halted. Both teenagers were injured in the crash, and they were rushed to a local hospital for treatment. We have no additional information about the teenagers’ condition at this time.
