Traffic stop leads to collision with police car

SAN ANTONIO, TX – What should have been a routine traffic stop ended when two juveniles rammed their vehicle into a police car early Thursday morning, KENS 5 reports.

The incident occurred at 1:30 a.m., near Roosevelt Avenue and the 11600 block of South East Loop 410. Police officials say they pulled over the vehicle for reckless driving after witnesses reported that it had been driving against traffic and had nearly hit several oncoming vehicles. Two juvenile male passengers jumped out of the pulled-over vehicle and ran away on foot, while the two juveniles still in the vehicle attempted to speed off. They instead rammed an SAPD vehicle and were arrested.

No injuries were reported. The police are still searching for the two boys who escaped on foot.
