SAN ANTONIO, TX – A Nissan and a Pontiac collided on Tuesday afternoon when the Nissan made a wide right turn.
The incident occurred near the intersection of Cupples Road and Castroville Road at 2:18 p.m. on May 12. As the silver 2018 Nissan was turning right onto the street, the front of the vehicle struck the blue 2003 Pontiac’s front-left bumper.
The Nissan’s 20-year-old driver and a 22-year old passenger were uninjured from the collision. The 54-year-old driver and a 23-year-old passenger in the Pontiac also sustained no injuries from the accident.
An officer from the San Antonio Police Department reported that both vehicles sustained moderate front bumper damage. However, the cars were able to drive away from the scene without tow-truck assistance.
The 22-year-old woman driving the Nissan will be held responsible for the accident because she made an unsafe right turn.
