Update: Driver responsible for recent crash in NW SA ran red light

SAN ANTONIO, TX – The driver injured in a two-vehicle collision in Northwest San Antonio yesterday morning caused the crash by running a red light, KSAT reports.

The 21-year-old driver of a white Honda had been driving south on Jones-Maltsberger Road when he ran a red light at the intersection with Thousand Oaks Drive and collided with a silver BMW. The force of the crash sent the vehicles caroming into a concrete wall.

The causing driver was knocked unconscious from the collision, and was pulled from his Honda by the driver of the BMW. Emergency responders transported him to a local hospital.

No one in the BMW was seriously hurt.
