Update: Man shot while driving pickup identified

SAN ANTONIO, TX – The man who was shot while driving his pickup on Loop 1604 was identified, according to the Bexar County Medical Examiner Office.

Frederick Nelsoney, 42, was driving a blue Dodge Ram when a second vehicle pulled alongside and fired one shot, killing Nelsoney.

The passenger, a woman in her 30s, was asleep at the time of the shooting.

The pickup truck was towing an RV and traveled another quarter of a mile before crashing into an off-duty police officer’s car.

According to local San Antonio news, the shooting was a road rage incident.

The passenger was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

No arrests have been made. Authorities are still investigating.
