SAN ANTONIO, TX. – Four accidents involving semi-trucks shut down sections of I-37 North, Loop 1604, I-35 South at Loop 410 West last Friday. Authorities have reported that slick conditions contributed to each of the collisions.

The first accident occurred on I-37 near midnight when the truck driver lost control of his vehicle due to rain and windy conditions. The truck jackknifed, and the cab nearly fell off the overpass at Pecan Valley Drive, according to Fox San Antonio.

The second crash occurred at Loop 1604 West at Stone Oak Parkway at around 1:00 p.m., when the driver hydroplaned and lost control of his vehicle. The trailer rolled over in the crash and Loop 1604 was closed for more than an hour for cleanup.

The final two accidents occurred within minutes of each other on I-35 South near Loop 410 West, just before 3:00 a.m. The northbound lanes of the highway were blocked for hours as authorities worked to clear the scene.
