Vehicle strikes, injures teen bicyclist at Weber Rd and Holly Rd

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – An 18-year-old male is in the hospital after being struck by a car from behind at the intersection of Weber Rd and Holly Rd on August 12, Kris TV reports.

At around 9:50 p.m., the victim was riding his bicycle in the bike lane of Holly Road. As he approached the intersection with Weber Rd, he was struck from behind by a vehicle operated by a 43-year-old driver.

The bicyclist was transported to a nearby hospital by emergency services.

Police do not believe impairment was a factor in the collision. Officers are still investigating. No charges have been filed at this time.
