Weaving driver causes crash on IH-2

PHARR, TX – A 19-year-old man crashed his car into another vehicle while he was weaving between lanes on Interstate Highway 2 Tuesday morning.

The man was driving a maroon 2014 Mazada on IH-2 near North Veterans Boulevard. The driver crashed into a 29-year-old woman driving a maroon 2018 Dodge. My Accident reports that the accident occurred around 11:08 a.m. on May 5.

An officer from the Pharr Police Department reported that the Mazda failed to stay in a single lane while on the road. The officer did not release any information about why the car was weaving.

Neither driver sustained injuries from the accident. However, both vehicles showed signs of moderate damage. Despite the damage, the cars were able to drive away from the scene without assistance.

The police officer investigating the accident did not write any citations.
