Woman injured following Brownsville bicycle collision

BROWNSVILLE, TX – A woman was injured after she was struck by a car while riding her bicycle in a north Brownsville neighborhood last Tuesday afternoon.

The 28-year-old woman was riding a bicycle within the 2100 block of West San Marcelo Boulevard when she was struck by a 2010 Chevrolet as it ran through a stop sign just before 2:40 p.m.

The woman was hurt as a result of this north Brownsville bicycle accident, but the extent of her injuries remains unknown at this time. A three-year-old child who was on the bicycle with her was uninjured.

It is unclear whether the 74-year-old woman behind the wheel of the Chevrolet will face any charges.
